Leslie Beck founded Beck Investment Management, LLC with over 29 years experience in investment management and financial services and working with more than 1650 clients. Leslie is a Certified Financial Planner® professional and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Leslie began her financial services career in 1980 with Bache & Co. as a stockbroker in Virginia and Texas. She was one of the first to pursue the Certified Financial Planner credentials and received the designation in 1983. In 1987, Leslie began to earn the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and started as an institutional research analyst for Chemical Bank (now known as JPMorgan Bank). She finished the CFA program in 1989 and continued developing her expertise analyzing individual U.S. companies, meeting with the senior management of the companies and having direct access to the best and the brightest analysts and investment strategists on Wall Street. Her responsibilities grew to include managing $530 million in stock and bond portfolios for individuals, families, trusts, pension plans, endowments and foundations.
Most recently, Leslie worked for myCFO in 2000 to develop their online financial planning and investment products for pre-IPO clients. She joined Woodside Asset Management as a Managing Director and then Sand Hill Advisors as a Senior Wealth Manager.
Leslie graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. She is a member of the CFA Institute, the Security Analysts of San Francisco, the national Financial Planning Association and board member of the local Silicon Valley chapter. She is a member of the Financial Women’s Association and the National Organization of Women Business Owners. She has also been an active volunteer in the public school system, the Junior League and Junior Achievement. Leslie lives in Cupertino with her husband and daughter.
